Christmas was just so much fun this year! For the first time, Libby understood the concept of Christmas. Although we tried to emphasize the real meaning of Christmas...we did our nightly scripture tree, family home evenings about the birth of Jesus...all she was interested in was the massive mountain of gifts under the tree.

Serenity just had fun watching Libby do what Libby does best...run, jump, dance...you get the idea, right?

Typical Week with Libby

Ok, so here are the events of this past week. All I can say is "I survived."

1. Libby got into my makeup while I was doing the dishes and dumped out ALL of my brand new mineral make up. She did do a fine job at applying it to her face though!

2. Libby got into my perfume while I was doing the dishes and sprayed nearly the entire bottle on her face. She got chemical burns in her eyes! I am starting to wonder if I should just never do the dishes again.

3. Libby drew with green marker all over our couch, leather chairs (yes 2 of them), Serenity's swing, the carpet and herself.

4. Libby decided to yet again take all her clothes off their hangers and out of their bins and throw them on the floor in her closet...then she did the same to Serenity's closet.

Isn't time out so painful?

We were able to see the shuttle launch from the beach behind our hotel. It was so cool!!!

Libby just LOVED the water. All she wanted to do every day was go to the beach and swim.

Ok, so those of you who know me quite well know how good I am at keeping my blog up to date. Well, at least I update a couple of times a year...right? Libby had so much fun with her cousins at the Aquarium. She rode the train, ate a cheese burger, looked at Nemo fish and played in the fish water.

Ok, so we slightly got on the tiger's nerves...or perhaps he was just hungry. Either way, I'm sure glad the glass was so thick.

Libby just LOVED trick-or-treating...well, only when she got suckers. She ate 8 suckers that night!

As you can see, we are all a little crazy about this whole "Halloween" thing, but we're ok with it.

Super Woman Can't Fly

I just thought this was the cutest picture of Libby. We were just getting ready to leave for school. She absolutely LOVES school. Her teacher sings "Libby, Libby, Libby on my label, label, label," everyday when she gets to class.

Ok, so after realizing she can't fly off her friend's fire truck bed, we headed to the ER for STITCHES!!! Libby got 3 stitches. Her tooth went completely through her lip! Not fun!!! She is doing ok now and gets to get the stitches out tomorrow after her school pictures...great timing.

Our pumpkins! Aren't they beautiful. Libby and I painted ours while Ryan and Travis carved theirs. Pumpkins go in order from left to right, Lyndee's, Travis's, Ryan's and Libby's. Libby had so much fun making a big mess out of paint!

The Evacuee's

Ok, so we are now true evacuee's. Our plans were to weather out the storm, but Thursday morning a mandatory evacuation was issued for our city. An hour later we were out the door and on our way to Dallas with what we could manage to grab.

Here is our home just as we were pulling out of the driveway on Thursday morning...hopefully it will look the same when we get back!!!

This summer has been one of independence for Liberty. She likes to do everything her way.

Our babysitter couldn't help but snap some pictures of Libby's food creations on the floor. The best part was...I didn't have to clean it up!
